A land filled with beautiful landscapes, different experiences and a country with highest human freedom is a gem. If you are already in Europe or planning to visit Europe, I would say this is a must visit place. We enjoyed every moment here and sharing our trip here😊

Reaching Switzerland

We took flight from Tallinn to Zurich. It depends from where you are travelling. From Germany, direct trains are also available to Interlaken. So better to check the options before

Once we reached Zurich, the airport wifi was not easy to connect. Then with help of the Customer Support Office, we got the train to Interlaken

They also suggested to take the half-fare card which is valid for 30 days, although our need is for 3 days, it still helps to save alot across the route.

The customer support team is one of the best, they are very patient and helpful and can suggest us which is the best option suited for us once we mention the route and places we plan to go.

From Zurich to Interlaken , we travelled through train

From there we went straight to our Stay, which was just walkable distance

Day 1

Waking up to the beautiful view had coffee snacks and then went to Interlaken Ost station. There we could reach out to BIS ticket office similar to SBB in Zurich There when we mentioned about where all we planning to visit , they provided the best tickets for our days in Interlaken

Tickets already included in our pass

To reach Harder Kulm, need to wait in the queue to get into the funicular . Enjoy the ride and reach the top of Interlaken, walk to the viewpoint😊 had fun taking pictures videos

From the viewpoint could see many parachutes, people doing paragliding and other activities That was a breathtaking view to the down enjoyed it and returned in the same funicular

From Brienz , the cogwheel train starts.

We waited there for sometime since we reached a bit earlier. They even allowed me to take pictures by crossing the gate 🙂

Once the journey started, it was just another memorable train journey, like a fairy tale journey. The views on the way was mind blowing. After a point when we reached the heights, clouds covered the way and nothing more was visible.

Reaching the top point, walked to the top again but again it was just covered with clouds took some photos and came back to the cogwheel

In the stops back we saw people playing with drones to capture the scenic beauty around

Day 2

From Interlaken Ost, take a train to Grindelwald. This train ride offers stunning views of the Swiss countryside, making it a scenic part of the journey itself.

Upon arrival at Grindelwald Terminal, we reached Eiger Express cable car station. This modern cable car ride is a scenic journey. It takes me away from Grindelwald Terminal and ascends toward the Eiger Glacier station, offering breathtaking views of the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau mountains.

At the Eiger Glacier station, I disembark from the Eiger Express and proceed to the Jungfrau Railway platform. After a captivating journey through the mountain, the Jungfrau Railway brings us to Jungfraujoch, the “Top of Europe.”

Here are some of the most popular things to do at Jungfraujoch:

  • Explore the Ice Palace: Step into a magical world made entirely of ice and snow. The Ice Palace at Jungfraujoch features intricate ice sculptures and tunnels, creating an enchanting subglacial experience.
  • Visit the Sphinx Observatory: Located at an impressive altitude of 3,571 meters (11,716 feet), the Sphinx Observatory offers breathtaking panoramic views of the Aletsch Glacier, the Swiss plateau, and the surrounding peaks. Take in the stunning scenery from the observatory’s terrace.
  • Hiking: Explore the network of well-marked hiking trails around Jungfraujoch. The Plateau trail, in particular, offers easy and picturesque walks suitable for visitors of all ages and fitness levels.
  • Visit the Lindt Swiss Chocolate Heaven: Chocolate lovers won’t want to miss the Lindt Swiss Chocolate Heaven at Jungfraujoch. Explore the world of Swiss chocolate, sample delicious treats, and shop for chocolates to take home.
