Iceland, the land of fire and ice is a magnificent journey which I would recommend everyone should experience. Here in this blog lets see how we did our trip across Iceland.

Golden Circle
Next day morning , we started exploring the Golden Circle route. Thingvellir National Park, Geysir geothermal area, and Gullfoss waterfall were the major attractions we visited along this route. Thingvellir National Park does not have any entry fee but there were parking charges. Also witnessed the very first waterfall, Geysir etc. The nature's phenomenal creations should not be missed in this travel.
Glacier Experience and Hengifoss
We had gone to a Glacier hike which was booked in advance, experienced Glacier Lagoon. Then the magnificent Diamond Beach where we spent some time making some beautiful memories for lifetime. The next day our first destination was Hengifoss, another waterfall. After Hengifoss, we made it our stay at Egilsstaðir, and since being long days available we decided to try our luck to see Puffins.
Stuðlagil Canyon, Dettifoss, Selfoss and Húsavik
A powerful glacial river called Jökulsá á Brú forged its way from the Highlands to northern Iceland, carving a 150 km (93 mile) path through these unique rock formations. This was how the canyon was formed. The next stop was Dettifoss and Selfoss. Dettifoss is one of Europe’s most powerful waterfalls. Selfoss is a smaller but more elegant waterfall located just upriver. There were viewpoints of Dettifoss and Selfoss from the east and west sides of the river. Each side offers a slightly different experience. The next and the last stop of the day was to catch glimpses of Whales in Húsavik. There are viewpoints of Dettifoss and Selfoss from the east and west sides of the river. Each side offers a slightly different experience. Hverfjall Crater, Grjótagjá Cave, Hverir & Goðafoss
Hverfjall is 396 meter (1,300 ft) high tephra explosion crater which is located near the eastern shore of Lake Myvatn in North Iceland.The next stop was at Grjótagjá cave located near lake Mývatn in north Iceland, famous for geothermal hot spring. Hverir Geothermal Area is a must-see stop and one of the top attractions in North Iceland. Goðafoss as the word says the waterfall of Gods, a very nice and definitely worth visiting, though not our favourite Icelandic waterfall.
Kirkjufell Mountains
Kirkjufell was such a marvellous location and we spend one night near this place and relaxed the evening.We explored the beautiful locations near by like Snaefellsnes, Búðakirkja, Arnarstapi, Lóndranga. The Búðakirkja was a famous picture spot, we also got nice pictures in that beautiful evening.Next day we are driving back to Reykjavík.
Back To Reykjavík
We came back in the city where we started the trip.But we have not explored the Capital City and then it was the time. First stop at Hallgrimskirka, then to the streets, Laugavegur and headed o Sun Voyager and got a beautiful sunset. Finally, it was coming to the end of our Ring Road trip. We enjoyed a lot and Iceland is just amazing.
